试论江南名门望族的书香文化——以常熟翁氏家族为例

摘　　要：常熟翁氏是清末江南颇具影响的名门望族。翁家自清末“耕读起家”后,族人秉承“诗书传家”的家训,虽经时代变换,但总能成功转型,成为江南名门望族流变的典型案例。此文即以翁家的重心人物翁心存、翁同龢父子为切入点,通过检索和探究他们在读书、购书、藏书和著书及勉励后辈读书等方面的理念和行为,以及这些“理念、行为”对后辈的影响,以此来揭示翁家“诗书传家”的内容、方法和经验,及由此而形成的翁氏家族“书香文化”特征,集书和读书是翁家修身、齐家的主要载体和途径,其既有江南望族文化的共性,又有特性,丰富了江南文化的内涵。The Weng family of Changshu was a well-known and influential family in Jiangnan during the late Qing Dynasty.Since the end of the Qing Dynasty,when the Weng family started their family through farming and reading,their people have adhered to the family motto of"passing down poetry and books".Although they have undergone changes in times,they have always successfully transformed and become a typical case of the transformation of famous families in Jiangnan.This article takes the key figures of the Weng family,Weng Xincun and the father and son of Weng Tonghe,as the starting points.By searching and exploring their ideas and behaviors in reading,purchasing,collecting,writing,and encouraging younger generations to read,as well as the impact of these"ideas and behaviors"on younger generations,this article aims to reveal the content,methods,and experiences of the Weng family's"poetry and book inheritors",as well as the resulting characteristics of the Weng family's"scholarly culture":calligraphy and reading are the main carriers and channels for the Weng family to cultivate their character and unify their family.They not only share the commonalities of Jiangnan culture,but also have unique characteristics,enriching the connotation of Jiangnan culture.
