摘 要:地方是文化相遇的空间载体。在互联网环境下,身居美国的中国留学生在现实物理空间和网络虚拟空间感受中美文化相遇的间距与关联,从而形成对两种文化在距离“遥远—接近”和结合“和谐—冲突”方面的认知。本研究以在美中国留学生为研究对象,通过问卷调查探究他们对网络媒介的使用如何影响了双文化认同整合和跨文化传播意愿。回归分析发现:对两国网络媒介的使用均有助于提升双文化认同整合水平,其中,中国网络媒介使用显著提升“文化距离”的接近性感知,同时,网络媒介使用通过双文化认同整合正向影响跨文化传播意愿。深度访谈发现,在交融的网络媒介中,自我和他者不断被重新定义,留学生在文化之间借由他者回归自我,对本土文化的认识更为深入。"Place"functions as a spatial medium for the intersection of cultures.Under the internet environment,Chinese students studying in the United States experience the distance and connection of Sino-American cultural encounter in both physical and virtual spaces,forming perceptions of the two cultures in terms of"distant-close"and"harmonious-conflictual".This study,focusing on Chinese students studying in the U.S.,explores through a survey how their use of internet media affects the integration of bicultural identity and their willingness for cross-cultural communication.The study finds that the use of internet media from both countries helps improve the level of bicultural identity integration,and the use of Chinese internet media significantly enhances the perception of"cultural distance"closeness.Meanwhile,the useof internet media positively affects the willingness for cross-cultural communication through the integration of bicultural identity.In-depth interviews reveal that in the intermingling of internet media,‘self’ and‘other’are constantly being redefined,as international students draw from the‘other’to reconnect with‘self’,leading to a deeper understanding of their native culture.
