摘　　要：英国作家R.M.巴兰坦最负盛名的小说《珊瑚岛》描写了几个帝国儿童的荒岛冒险故事,以主人公在荒岛上对空间的建构来书写作者对于英帝国的政治想象。巴兰坦在建构一个具有强烈主观想象的荒岛空间的同时,也建构了19世纪英帝国的叙事神话。本文以《珊瑚岛》为研究对象,运用亨利·列斐伏尔的空间理论,从物理空间、精神空间和社会空间三方面研究《珊瑚岛》中的空间政治,以揭示英帝国殖民扩张的物质和精神殖民本质。The Coral Island,the most famous novel from British writer R.M.Ballantyne,depicts the adventures of several children from the English Empire on a desert island,with the focus on the protagonists'construction of space on the desert island,to reflect the author's political imagination of the British Empire.While creating a desert island space with his subjective imagination,Ballantyne also constructs the narrative myth of the 19th-century British Empire.Taking The Coral Island as the research object,this paper follows Henry Lefebvre's spatial theory to examine spatial politics in The Coral Island from three aspects:physical space,spiritual space and social space,so as to reveal the material and spiritual colonialism of the British Empire in the pursuit of colonial expansion.
