摘　　要：通名的涵义与指称是语言哲学的重要课题。本文以历史、批判的眼光客观分析与通名有关的两大理论--摹状词理论和历史因果命名理论,并从方法论上对通名指称理论进行反思,认为对通名的研究应从语义和语用两个层面展开,只有在具体实践中将两者结合起来,才能对通名指称问题做出较好的阐释。The sense and reference of general names are the important issue in the philosophy of language.This paper analyzes the two reference theories—description theory and historical causal naming theory and make a reflection from the methodology.It is suggested that we investigate them from the perspective of semantics and pragmatics and combine them together so that we can understand it in a better way.
