摘　　要：非洲文学作为非主流文学,流散是其最本质的特征,古尔纳的流散作品又融入了同化主题。古尔纳的多部作品都反映了非洲移民在英国主流社会被排挤和被同化的困境。文章运用同化理论阐释了古尔纳在不同创作时期的三部作品,检视古尔纳同化思想的渐进历程。由创作初期的渴求完全同化到中期的两难抉择,再到后期的理性融入,古尔纳的同化思想为非裔英国人在英国适应主流文化同时保持非洲文化的自豪感提出了方案,重新建构了文化多元主义框架下的“平行生活”。As a non-mainstream literature,diaspora is the most essential feature of African literature. Gurnah’s diaspora works also incorporate the theme of assimilation. Many of Gurnah’s works reflect the difficult plight of African immigrants excluded and assimilated by the mainstream society of Britain. This paper uses assimilation theory to explain three works of Gurnah in different creative periods, and examines the gradual process of Gurnah’s assimilation opinion. From the desire for complete assimilation in the early stage of his creation to the dilemma in the middle stage, and then to the rational integration in the later stage, Gurnah’s assimilation thought proposes a plan for the African British to adapt to the mainstream culture in Britain while maintaining the pride of African culture, reconstructing the parallel life under the framework of cultural pluralism.
