摘 要:中国学者倪培民翻译的《论语》译本自问世以来,备受海内外学界好评,尤其是译本所体现的“功夫论”路径,更加令人瞩目。本文通过例解的方法,分析译本中的“译”与“注”,发现该译本一方面在翻译上力求保存源文本的本义,维持哲学语义的模糊性,另一方面通过注释,把儒家的自由观、伦理观、语言观和人生观,向西方读者予以阐明,促进文本与读者的互动,进而阐发孔子学说的现代意义,以拓展译本的海外新生命。该译本的诞生,并非简单的文字传译,实质上是中国哲学在经济全球化时代下,采用“功夫论”探索儒学新生命并致力于焕发儒学新价值的一种尝试,对当下中国哲学典籍走出去所应采取的策略,有着重大的借鉴和参考意义。In 2017,the State University of New York Press published Peimin Ni's English version of Lun yu(The Analects),which has been well received by academic circles at home and abroad.The“Gongfu approach”embodied in the translation is particularly impressive.This paper analyzes the“translated text”and its“notes”in the translation and finds that on the one hand,the translation strives to preserve the original meaning of the source text while maintaining the ambiguity of philosophical connotation,and on the other hand,it expounds the“Gongfu approach”by reading into the notes in order to explain Confucian views of freedom,ethics,religion,language and life to Western readers,to promote the interaction between the text and readers,and to instill new life into the modern Confucianism in the West.The birth of this translation is not a simple word-for-word translation.In essence,it is an attempt by a Chinese scholar to explore the new value of Confucianism by adopting the“Gongfu approach”in the era of economic globalization.His successful translation strategy has great reference value and significance for the outward translation of the Chinese classics.
