基于语料库的博茨瓦纳官媒涉华报道话语分析(2015-2022)

摘　　要：研究官方媒体的涉华新闻报道对于了解相关国家政府对华态度有着重要意义。本研究利用网络“爬虫”技术获取自2015年以来博茨瓦纳官方媒体《每日新闻》的涉华报道,通过情感分析和Wmatrix语料库工具研究博茨瓦纳政府的对华态度。经调查发现:博茨瓦纳对华态度总体呈现正面、积极的特点,且话语逐渐趋向客观;其主要在五个领域(政治,经济,教育,医疗卫生以及司法)对中国进行报道,虽然关注重点存在历时性差异,但是中国的援助一直是聚焦的重点;博茨瓦纳官媒的消极态度来源于非法野生动物交易、部分政府官员对于中国市场和公司的误解,以及零售业上的分歧。The examination of China related news coverage by official media holds paramount academic significance as it provides valuable insights into the attitudes of pertinent national governments towards China.This research employs web“crawler”technology to systematically acquire and analyze China related reports published in Botswana’s official media outlet,“Daily News,”from the year 2015 onward.By leveraging sentiment analysis techniques and utilizing the Wmatrix corpus tool,this study undertakes a rigorous investigation into the posture of the Botswana government visàvis China.The findings of this investigation discern that Botswana’s overarching disposition towards China exhibits a predominant positivity and a proclivity towards an increasingly objective discourse.The thematic focus of this media coverage primarily centers around five core domains,namely politics,economics,education,healthcare,and justice,when addressing issues related to China.Notwithstanding temporal shifts in emphasis within these domains,Chinese assistance consistently maintains its central prominence.The negative sentiments conveyed within Botswana’s official media emanate from multifaceted sources,including but not limited to concerns pertaining to illegal wildlife trade,certain misperceptions held by government officials regarding the Chinese market and corporate entities,and discord within the retail sector.
