近代宣教读物的特殊编译模式——以《圣书日课初学便用》的编印为例

摘　　要：《圣书日课初学便用》一书在1831年出版于广州,是据英国海外学校协会在1820年编印的Scripture Lessons for Schools一书翻译的。该书虽是中译,却非新译,而是从马礼逊、米怜的《圣经》中译本中择取相应的段落组装而成,参与人有马礼逊、裨治文、马儒翰、梁发、屈亚昂等。该书对梁发的影响,不仅体现于《劝世良言》在节录《圣经》时的章节选择,也体现在他的具体论述中。该书出版后广为散发,一度引起清朝官方的注意,是1835年被清廷查禁的八种书籍之一。在近代出版史上,《圣书日课初学便用》的编译出版,因为有新教来华人员的参与,而在编译模式、文本属性等方面出现了新的因素,是非常值得注意和研究的一次译印活动。The book“Scripture Lessons for Schools”was published in Guangzhou in 1831,which was translated and compiled by the British and Foreign School Society in 1820.Although the book is a Chinese translation,it is not a new one.Instead,it is assembled by selecting corresponding paragraphs from the Chinese translations of the Bible by Morrison and Milne.Participants include Robert Morrison,Bridgman,John Robert Morrison,Liang A-fa,Kew A-gang,etc.The influence of this book on Liang A-fa is not only reflected in the selection of chapters in the excerpts of the Bible in“Good Words Exhorting the Age”,but also in his specific discussion.After its publication,the book was widely distributed and once attracted the attention of the Qing government.It was one of the eight books banned by the Qing government in 1835.In the history of modern publishing,the compilation and publication of“Scripture Lessons for Schools”,with the participation of protestant visitors to China,has introduced new factors in the compilation mode,text attributes,and other aspects,which is a highly noteworthy and researchable translation and printing activity.
