摘 要:自新文化运动强调学术独立开始,20世纪中国关于学问的态度逐渐发生转变。对于西方近代思想的学习使“为学问而学问”的观念出现,体现为学问与政治的关联性与必要性减弱;由追求“通人”转向“专人”以及不再必须“学以致用”。而在19世纪末,西方也出现了“为艺术而艺术”的观念,注重艺术形式,强调把艺术归还给艺术本身,美只在于艺术本身所呈现的东西。实际上,“为学问而学问”与“为艺术而艺术”两者都体现着一种追求学术独立的态度与理想,也同时引发了对现代中国学术建构的再思考。Since the New Culture Movement emphasized academic independence,China’s attitude towards learning has gradually changed in the 20th century.The study of western modern thoughts leads to the emergence of the concept of“learning for learning”,which is refl ected in the weakening of the relevance and necessity of learning and politics,and in the change from the pursuit of“generalists”to“special personnel”,even to no longer“applying what you learn”.At the end of the 19th century,the concept of“art for art’s sake”also emerges in the West,which focuses on art forms and emphasizes returning art to art itself.Beauty only lies in what art itself presents.In fact,“learning for learning”and“art for art”both refl ect an attitude and ideal of pursuing academic independence,which triggers the rethinking of the academic construction of modern China.
