Neovascularization is an important factor in tumorigenesis, progression, and metastasis, and it germinates in the precancerous state of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis(CAG)in the progression from gastritis to Gastric Cancer(CC).Pericyte disrup-tion is the key to the loss of self-regulation of angiogenesis and is an important factor that exacerbates the uncontrollable inflamma-tory state of CAG and drive the malignant transformation of tissues.Mediating the prerequisites for the'peaceful coexistence'of the CAG inflammatory microenvironment and the host is the key to the prevention and treatment of CC.In this paper,we take pericytes as the entry point and combine the theory of‘Treating Middle Jiao as Balance'in TCM to elaborate the development process of pericytes in the vascularization of CAG precancerous lesions, with the aim of restoring the self-regulation of pericytes by TCM under the guidance of the theory of Treating Middle Jiao as Balance'and restoring the vascularization of CAG precan-cerous lesions.
