Objective To observe the efficacy of routine swallowing function training combined with respiratory muscle training on patients with dysphagia after stroke. Methods 50 patients with dysphagia after stroke were randomly divided into two groups, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was given routine swallowing function training, while the observation group was given routine swallowing function training combined with respiratory muscle training. The swallowing function, respiratory muscle function and surface electromyography(sEMG)test results were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the dysphagia score, maximum inspiratory pressure and peak inspiratory flow rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the maximum amplitude of sEMG in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the swallowing duration was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Routine swallowing function training combined with respiratory muscle training can significantly improve the swallowing function and respiratory muscle function of patients with dysphagia after stroke.
