“双重镜像”的主体性探寻——《西风》译述文的“中国”形象研究

摘　　要：1936年9月,《西风》在上海创刊,该月刊以“译述西洋杂志精华,介绍欧美人生社会”为宗旨。其中,译述西方人对中国看法的文章在《西风》中占比较多。这些文章以西方人的视角,从民俗风物、历史变革、文化信仰、社会现状等各个角度对现代中国进行了详细描写。一方面,西方人在书写中国的同时,实现了对他们自身文化的再认同,而中国在某些方面的特性亦使他们看到了解决现实问题的东方方案。另一方面,西方人所建构的中国形象,亦为国人自我观照提供了全新的镜像视角。《西风》译述文显示了该杂志的文化选择和建设现代文化的努力。In September 1936,Xifeng(West Wind)was launched in Shanghai.The magazine aimed to translate the essence of western magazines and introduce life and society in Europe and the United States.Among the articles carried in the magazine,the translation of west-erners’views on China accounted for a large proportion.From the perspective of Westerners,these articles described modern China in detail from the perspectives of folk customs,historical changes,cultural beliefs and current social situations.On the one hand,when Westerners wrote about China,they realized their re-identification of their own culture,and some aspects of China's characteristics also revealed to them eastern solutions to practical problems.On the other hand,the image of China constructed by the Westerners also provided a new mirror per-spective for Chinese people’s self reflection.The translations in Xifeng shows the magazine’s cultural choice and efforts to build a modern culture.
