摘　　要：论文通过汉藏语比较研究的一些实例,论述处理好语言描写与语言解释是提高汉藏语研究质量的因素之一。语言描写与语言解释之间辩证统一,互为条件。语言描写是基础,是深入研究语言的起点;而语言解释则是对语言现象的深化认识。语言解释可以从语言现象的属性、性质、类型、成因、演变等方面对语言的特点进行深入挖掘。论文还提出处理好语言描写与语言解释的五点注意事项。Through some examples in studying the Sino-Tibetan language this paper illustrates that the proper handling of linguistic description and linguistic explanation is one of the factors for improving the quality of the Sino-Tibetan language study.Linguistic description and linguistic explanation are dialectically unified,and mutually conditioned.Linguistic description is a basis and a starting-point of linguistic study while linguistic explanation is a deeper-level understanding of linguistic phenomena.Linguistic explanation for linguistic features can proceed at a deep level from properties,nature,types,reasons and evolution.The paper proposes five points for attention in properly handling linguistic description and linguistic explanation.
