摘　　要：黎锦熙先生是我国杰出的语言学家、教育家。他一生从教,既是经师也是人师,与毛泽东保持了近七十年的师生情谊。他毕生致力于语文现代化运动,在现代语文荒原上开疆拓土,为推动国文科改为国语科、创立国语文法、推进文字改革、编纂大词典、构建语文教育体系耗尽了全部精力,开创了独领风骚的语言学和语文教育学。我们永远怀念他,学习他的人格风范,传承他的学术品格,沿着他的足迹砥砺前行。Li Jinxi is an outstanding linguist and educator in China.He has devoted all his life to teaching.He is excellent in the pvomotion of his students as well as in his lessons.He has maintained a teacher-student friendship with Mao Zedong for nearly 70 years and set a model for teacher education.He devoted his whole life to the modern Chinese movement,and expanded the territory of the modern Chinese language.He exhausted his energy in promoting the transformation of Classical Chinese into Vernacular Chinese in education,establishing Chinese grammar system,promoting the reform of Chinese characters,compiling dictionaries,and constructing Chinese education system,and created the leading linguistics and Chinese pedagogy.Everything he has done is worthy of recording in history,and every contribution he has made is a milestone.We will always remember him,learn from his personality,inherit his academic character,and walk in his footsteps.
