摘　　要：《恶棍来访》是美国女作家珍妮弗·伊根迄今最有影响力的作品,讲述了以唱片制作人本尼及其女助手萨莎为中心的一群摇滚音乐人近50年的人生故事。隐喻在该小说的叙事中发挥了重要作用,主要体现在小说主题、人物形象和小说结构三个方面。本体隐喻“时间是恶棍”表达出小说与时间、人生直接相关的核心主题;路径隐喻“人生是旅程”帮助塑造各种不同人生轨迹、内心状态和性格特征的人物形象;循环图式隐喻构建了小说圆形叙事结构,回应小说开篇引文中的“回归”立意,实现了内容和形式的统一。A Visit from the Goon Squad,a most influential novel by the American female writer Jennifer Egan,centers upon recording producer Bennie and his female assistant Sasha,depicting ups and downs of some rock musicians in almost 50 years.This paper emphasizes the importance of metaphor and its narration from theme,characterization and structure in the novel.The ontological metaphor“time is a villain”expresses its core theme about time and life.The path metaphor“life is a journey”helps shape characters with different life paths,inner states,and personalities.The circular schema metaphor constructs circular structure,responding to the“return”in opening quotation in the novel,thus achieving the unity of content and form.
