摘　　要：查尔斯·格瓦斯梅作为现代主义大师,一生贯彻现代主义的信仰,文章选取其生平最具代表性的三个代表作品:成名之作——格瓦斯梅住宅、经验总结——梅德梅尼尔住宅、最具争议——纽约古根海姆博物馆加建部分,作为解读的对象,分析其中的设计手法、形式语言、空间逻辑。同时与现代主义的发展阶段相结合,分析格瓦斯梅在不同阶段如何运用现代主义的形式逻辑,并对现代主义的理性和功能化在当代的意义进行诠释,解读建筑的本质意义。Charles Gwathme,as a modernist master,carried out the belief of modernism all his life.This paper selects three representative works of his life:Famous works-Gwasimeh House,summary of experience-Medemenil House,the most controversial-New York Guggenheim Museum additions,as the object of interpretation,analysis of the design techniques,formal language,spatial logic.At the same time,combining with the development stage of modernism,this paper analyzes how Gwathme applied the formal logic of modernism in different stages.It also interprets the modern meaning of rationality and functionalization of modernism and interprets the essential meaning of architecture.
