摘 要:英汉习语翻译是源习语向目标习语映射的思维过程。基于认知语言学的心理空间理论,构建了英汉习语翻译的六种映射模式,探讨了英汉习语翻译的映射过程,并揭示其认知根源。研究发现:(1)从本质上讲,英汉习语翻译是由源习语向目标习语动态映射的认知加工过程,该过程能否顺利完成,受译者的具身体验、认知来源、思维方式、社会文化模型、百科知识等因素制约;(2)源习语向目标习语翻译映射的思维过程主要有六种模式:等价映射、变价映射、附加映射、错位映射、填补映射和还原映射翻译模式。(3)英汉习语翻译的映射模式根源于人类的具身体验。The translation of English and Chinese idioms is a thinking process of mapping from source idioms to target idioms.Based on Space Theory of Cognitive Linguistics,this paper constructs six mapping models,discusses the mapping process and reveals its cognitive roots.The results show that:(1)in essence,idiom translation is a cognitive process of dynamic mapping.Whether the process can be successfully completed is restricted by embodied experience,cognitive source,way of thinking,social culture model and encyclopedic knowledge.(2)There are six translation models such as equivalent mapping,variational mapping,additional mapping,dislocated mapping,filled mapping and restored mapping.(3)The mapping model of English and Chinese idioms translation is rooted in human embodied experience.
