摘　　要：作为著名经济学家,阿马蒂亚·森不仅在经济学界享有崇高声望,而且在人文社会科学特别是经济伦理学领域也有重要地位。其《以自由看待发展》一书以自由观为核心内容,对发展作了新的定义,并提出一个重要命题,即“经济发展就其本性而言是自由的增长”。他的发展观强调以自由来看待发展,不断扩展人们的可行能力,进而实现人的自由全面发展。具体分析阿马蒂亚·森自由发展观的理论渊源、实质内涵,对于探索中国式现代化的市场、民主、人权实践进路具有重要的现实意义。As a famous economist,Amartya Sen not only enjoys a high reputation in the field of economics,but also has an important position in the field of humanities and social sciences,especially economic ethics.In the book Development as Freedom,Amartya Sen,with the view of freedom as the core content,has made a new definition of development and put forward an important proposition,that is,"Economic development by its nature is the growth of freedom".His outlook of development emphasizes the view of development with freedom,constantly expanding people's capability,and then realizing people's free and comprehensive development.A detailed analysis of the theoretical origin and substantive connotation of Amartya Sen's view of free development is of great practical significance for exploring the practice approach of market,democracy and human rights in Chinese-style modernization.
