The Impact of China’s Carbon Market Pilot Policies on Enterprises’Green Innovation--Taking the Carbon Market in Hubei Province as an Example

摘  要:企业是绿色技术创新的关键主体,对于促进产业结构绿色转型,实现碳达峰和碳中和目标具有重要的现实意义。本文基于2011—2021年湖北省148家上市公司绿色发明专利和实用新型专利数据,构建双重差分模型分析碳市场试点政策对企业绿色创新的影响效应,并进一步探究了该政策对不同规模企业的影响差异。研究发现,碳试点政策能够显著促进企业绿色创新,若企业参与碳排放交易会显著促进76.3%的企业绿色创新;湖北省企业绿色创新发展程度与企业规模呈正相关关系。我国应综合当前试点城市的碳交易机制及其施行成果,完善碳交易机制顶层设计,推动企业绿色创新,进一步促进地方经济发展。Enterprises are the key subjects of green technological innovation,which is of great practical signifi cance for promoting the green transformation of industrial structure and achieving the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.Based on the green invention patents and patents data of new patents of 148 listed companies in Hubei Province from 2011 to 2021,this paper constructs a diff erences-in-diff erences model to analyze the impact effect of the carbon market pilot policies on enterprises’green innovation and further explores the impact diff erences of the policies on enterprises of diff erent sizes.It is found that the carbon pilot policies can signifi cantly promote enterprise green innovation,and if enterprises participate in carbon emissions trading,it will signifi cantly promote 76.3%of enterprise green innovation;the development of enterprise green innovation in Hubei Province is positively correlated with enterprise size.China should synthesize the carbon trading mechanism of the current pilot cities and their implementation results,improve the top-level design of the carbon trading mechanism,promote green innovation of enterprises,and further promote local economic development.
