摘　　要：阿莉·史密斯的《纵横交错的世界》展现了第二次世界大战以来人们所遭受的多重创伤。运用创伤理论相关观点,结合社会历史背景,对小说主要人物遭受的创伤进行剖析:亲历二战的梅和费伊余生被战争之伤笼罩,马克和巴尤德一家等社会边缘群体遭受着社会身份认同危机带来的创伤,对自我及热点的过度关注、老年人的生存困境等反映了现代人正经受的社会文化创伤。《纵横交错的世界》中对创伤的书写反映了阿莉·史密斯对社会现实的思考,对人类命运的关注,以及对突破生存困境的期待。Ali Smith s There But For The reflects multiple traumas suffered by people since the WWII.By adopting relevant ideas of trauma theory,this paper combines the social and historical background to analyze the traumas of the main characters.May and Faye who witnessed the WWII suffered the war trauma for the rest of their life.Socially marginalized groups such as Mark and the Bayoude family are suffering the trauma caused by their social identity crisis.Moreover,people s excessive concern on themselves and hotspots,and the elderly s living dilemma display the social culture trauma that people in modern times are experiencing.In There But For The Ali Smith s writing about traumas reveals her reflection on social reality,concern of human future,and expectation of breaking survival predicament.
