Ecological discourse analysis focuses on studying the influence of language on the natural ecological environment and its role.In recent years, ecological discourse analysis based on Systemic Functional Grammar has gained momentum. However, most previous studies have not delved deep enough into the analysis of the roles of participants in transitive processes, neglecting the complexity of semantic representation of clause processes. Therefore, this paper combines the transitive analysis model and the ergative analysis model in Halliday's experiential system to establish a transitive-ergative analysis model, and then, guided by the ecological philosophical view of"coexist in diversity and progress in harmony"and combining semantic analysis of the process in each clause, establishes a comprehensive model for ecological discourse analysis from the perspective of Systemic Functional Grammar. Finally, two ecological discourses from Unit 8 of New Horizon College English Reading&Writing Course 2 are taken as examples to apply this model in practice,in order to test the rationality and feasibility of the analysis model and reveal the ecological meanings contained in the discourses of the unit.
