摘 要:通过实证研究考察了词典中的多模态释义对不同学习水平的英语二语词汇学习的影响。研究结果显示对于各阶段的被试而言:(1)多模态释义下的词汇理解和产出成绩均显著优于文字单模态释义下的成绩;(2)就不同词类而言,多模态释义下的抽象词和具体词学习成绩均显著好于文字单模态释义下的词语学习成绩。但相比之下,具体词的理解和产出程度要好于抽象词;(3)大多数被试认同多模态释义在英语词汇学习中所发挥的积极作用,其中“短视频+动图+音频”的模态组合形式受到了多数被试的喜爱。以上结果证实,在词典中设置纳入多模态释义有助于提高被试词汇学习水平。This paper examines the influence of multimodal illustration in dictionaries on English second language vocabulary learning at different learning levels through empirical research.The research results show that for learners at all stages:(1)the lexical comprehension and output scores under the multimodal illustration are significantly better than those under the text single-modal illustration;(2)As far as different parts of speech are concerned,the learning performance of abstract words and specific words un-der multimodal illustration is significantly better than that of words under single-modal illustration.In contrast,concrete words are better understood and produced than abstract words;(3)Most testers agree that multimodal illustration plays a positive role in Eng-lish vocabulary learning,and the modal combination of"short video+motion picture+audio"is favored by most testers.The above results confirm that the inclusion of multimodal illustration in dictionaries can help improve learners'vocabulary learning.
