摘  要:The processes maintaining protein homeostasis(also known as"proteostasis")are crucial for the normal functions and survival of cells.A key process regulating cellular proteostasis is protein turnover.The conventional pathways mediating protein turnover are the ubiquitin-proteasome system(UPS)and autophagy[1,2].When these mechanisms are impaired—such as in diseased conditions or during aging——misfolded proteins accumulate.
