摘　　要：贾平凹小说《废都》是一部以乡土文化为题材的现实主义作品,葛译本在翻译过程中充分保留了小说中独特的乡土语言风格,并尝试运用符合受众审美的表达方式来突出文本的文学内涵。文章重点从方言模因翻译、俗语模因翻译、称谓语模因翻译三大维度,分析贾平凹《废都》葛译本的乡土语言模因英译策略,进而为学术研究提供一定指导。Jia Pingwa’s novel“The Ruined City”is a realistic work with local culture as its theme.Goldblatt’s translation fully preserves the unique local language style in the novel and attempts to use expressions that are in line with the audience’s aesthetic to highlight the literary connotation of the text.The article focuses on analyzing the English translation strategies of local language memes in Jia Pingwa’s Goldblatt translation of“The Ruined City”from three dimensions:dialect meme translation,colloquial meme translation,and appellation meme translation,in order to provide certain guidance for academic research.
