Migraine is a common chronic neurovascular disease that seriously affects people′s lives, and the pathogenesis is currently unclear. The etiology of migraine is complex and has significant genetic effects. As an important substance involved in the pathogenesis of migraine,5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)must bind to its receptor in order to exert its effects. The subtypes of discovered 5-HT receptors all include different subunits, and each subunit plays a different role.At present, research on genes related to migraine is mostly limited to the fragments in subtypes that affect migraine, and the research results are controversial. With the advancement of technology,it is expected to conduct more comprehensive and systematic research on the pathogenesis of migraine in the future, providing more ideas for the prevention and treatment of migraine.
