摘  要:汉语成语是一种极具中华文化特点的语言形式,其特色鲜明、结构对仗、蕴含典故、音韵和谐。英译时既要保留其外在形式又要体现其内涵信息,因而成为翻译中的一个难点问题。基于社会语言符号学视角,探讨了汉语成语的翻译策略,即根据不同情况采取直译、意译、套译、加注、增译和省略等翻译方法,使译者能够从语言、文化、心理和社会的大背景下,多角度阐述文本含义,从而以更宽的视角解决文化障碍所带来的问题,更好地促进文化交流与繁荣。The chinese idiom is a kind of language form characterized by Chinese culture,with distinctive characteristics,contrasting structures,allusions and harmonious rhymes.When translated into English,it should retain its external form and reflect its connotation,which makes it a difficult point in translation.Based on the perspective of sociolinguistic semiotics,this paper discusses the translation strategies of Chinese idiom,namely adopting translation strategies such as direct translation,free translation,adaptation,annotation,amplification and omission according to different situations,so as to enable the translators to explain the meaning of the text from multiple perspectives of language,culture,psychology and society,to solve the problems brought about by the cultural barriers to better promote the cultural exchanges and prosperity.
