摘 要:探讨了将数据驱动学习(data-driven learning, DDL)应用于基于体裁的英语学术写作教学的路径。福建医科大学共102名博士研究生参加了15个学时的写作教学实验。教师介绍了语料库的基本概念和AntConc软件的使用方法,设计了DDL任务,引导学生以小组为单位自主探索医学英语论著每个语步和语阶的语言特征。学生对课程的总体反馈较好,他们认为学习使用语料库方法探索语言特征、学习医学论著的修辞功能、融合语言特征和修辞功能、自建医学学科专用语料库以及小组合作完成任务是最大的收获。实验证明了DDL在博士生英语学术写作教学中应用的可行性。学生对课程的建议可在未来课程中加以考虑,即增加语料库类型和论文体裁,以优化基于DDL的英语论文写作教学。This paper explored how data-driven learning(DDL)could be used in the genre-based academic writing class.A total of 102 doctoral students specializing in medicine were all enrolled in a 15 period academic writing course.They were introduced by the teacher the concept of corpus,and the use of AntConc.DDL tasks were designed to assist participants in investigating the language realizations of each move and step of medical research articles.Participants showed positive evaluation of the course,thinking of learning to use corpus approach to explore the language realizations,learning the rhetorical functions of medical research articles,connecting language realizations with their rhetorical functions,building the personal medical-specific corpus,and working in groups with task-based activities as the most useful part of the course.This indicates the potential of DDL in academic writing pedagogy for doctoral students.The suggestions given by participants could be taken into consideration in the future study and the increases in the type of corpus and genre are needed to optimize the DDL process in the academic writing classroom.
