Glioblastoma is a highly aggressive malignant tumor in the central nervous system with an extremely poor prognosis. The pathogenesis of this disease is not fully understood and the mortality remains high due to the lack of specific diagnosis and treatment methods. Therefore,it is urgent to explore the mechanism of glioma spread and infiltration and develop novel treatments.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)plays a key role in regulating the spread and infiltration of glioma, and has been proven to be associated with glioma invasion, migration, and therapeutic resistance. The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway can play a role in a range of pathophysiological processes via EMT.Furthermore, microRNAs can interact with EMT and influence cellular processes. This article reviews the effects of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway on glioma EMT and different interventions for this process, providing theoretical basis and reference for preventing the EMT in glioma.
