布迪厄社会学视阈下泰州学派在英语国家的翻译与接受——以李贽作品为例  

The Translation and Reception of Taizhou School in English-speaking Countries from the Perspective of Bourdieu’s Sociological Theory:A Case Study of Li Zhi’s Works

摘  要:作为明代中晚期最重要的学术流派之一,泰州学派继承和发扬了王阳明的哲学思想,使得儒学更加为大众百姓所接受。发源于江苏泰州,泰州学派的思想最终传遍全国各地。几个世纪以来,许多史学家和哲学家都对其进行了深入的研究。然而,尽管泰州学派在国际汉学研究中具有巨大影响力,大多数对泰州学派的研究还仍限于其概念内涵和它对当代社会的意义,很少有研究真正关注泰州学派在英语国家的翻译和接受现状。因此,本文基于布迪厄的社会学理论,对泰州学派代表人物李贽的作品进行个案研究。研究发现,李贽作品的翻译主要经历了四个阶段,并受三种不同场域的影响。As one of the most important and revolutionary schools of thought in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,Taizhou School(Xuepai)inherited and developed the philosophical ideas embedded in Yangmingism,making Confucianism more accessible to the people from all walks of life.Started from Taizhou in Jiangsu,the thought eventually spread across the nation and was studied by both historians and philosophers over centuries.Nevertheless,most research of Taizhou School is still limited to its concept as well as the value to modern society.Few studies have focused on the translation and reception of this vital school in English speaking countries despite the influence of it in international sinology academia.Therefore,by applying Bourdieu’s sociological theory,this essay takes Li Zhi,one of the most important figures in Taizhou School,as a case study to understand the translation and reception of Taizhou School in English-speaking countries.It is found that the translation of Li Zhi’s works has witnessed four phases and are influenced by three different“fields”.
