《周易》震卦中的勇德观及其道德哲学意涵

摘　　要：《周易》震卦首先是取义于“震动”之意的通说,而非执泥于对历史上一场地震的事实性记述,更不能依《大象传》旧说取“雷震”之象立意。此两种说法有其难掩之误读,需要澄清。当明乎其“震动”之意的渊源后,震卦的人文意蕴及其道德内涵才能向我们真正敞开,“勇”这一德性观念也进而得以显豁,具体就是:卦辞所涉宗庙祭祀情境下,“诚”与“敬”烘托出的“勇”;以史证经,发显文王在处忧困境下的“勇”于担当;最后是进入道德语境的言说中,直接表现为戒惧自修的“勇”。此三方面由表及里,形成一体三翼,有机地构成震卦所含摄之勇德观念。此亦是儒家道德哲学的题中之义。The hexagram Zhen in the Book of Changes is a general concept that takes the meaning of“vibration,”rather than a factual account of an earthquake in history,and it is improper to take the image of“vibration from thunder”according to the old concept in Big Image Commentary(大象传).These two statements are misunderstood and need to be clarified.When the origin of its meaning of“vibration”is clarified,the humanistic and moral connotations of the hexagram Zhen can be truly understood,and the virtue of“courage”can be further revealed.The virtue of courage implied by“sincerity”and“respect”in the ancestral worship situation involved in the hexagram-records;to interpret classics with historical events,we can find the“courage”of King Wen of Zhou in the predicament;finally,in the moral context,it is directly manifested as the“courage”of caution and self-cultivation.These three aspects,from the outside to the inside,constitute the notion of virtue of courage contained in the hexagram Zhen.This is also the essence of the Confucian moral philosophy.
