China's imperial examination system spread to the"island nation"of Japan with the implementation of the laws of the Tang Dynasty in Japan, eventually resulting in the formation of a unique"Japanese imperial examination studies".The studies were not only integrated into the talent selection system based on laws and literature starting in the Heian era,the examination system based on Confucian classics, and the parliamentary proposal for recruiting talents in the early Meiji Period, they also entered the research of imperial examinations in post-war Japan. In the process of accepting and grasping the imperial examination system,Japan has also integrated a broad range of knowledge to build a cross-disciplinary and muli-disciplinary range of ideas. It has also built a world field,East Asian survey, and the framework of China's perspectives.Discourse criticism with the imperial examination system as the core runs through the identity transformation and cultural identity of Japan's subjectivity. It is this kind of inheritance and conflict, twists and turns, that endows the historical construction of"Japanese imperial examinations studies"with rich connotations.
