Objective To investigate relationship between the expression levels of Acyl-CoA medium-chain synthetase 3(ACSM3)and the survival status of 357 patients with ovarian cancer in the cancer genome atlas(TCGA)database. Methods The expression levels of ACSM3 and their relationship with survival conditions in 357 patients with ovarian cancer in TCGA database were analyzed, and co-expression genes of ACSM3 were searched for gene ontology(GO)enrichment analysis and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis. Results Multivariate Cox regression analysis further indicated that ACSM3 was a prognostic factor for patients with ovarian cancer, and its co-expression gene enrichment analysis results were associated with inflammatory response and abnormal gene transcription in tumors. Conclusion The expression of ACSM3 is of great significance for the prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer, and high expression of it has better prognosis.ACSM3 can be an important indicator for guiding clinicians to evaluate the prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer.
