摘  要:21世纪以来,中餐在世界范围内的受欢迎程度越来越高。中西方菜单命名方式的差异给菜单的翻译带来困难。中餐菜单的英译起到了传播文化的作用,如何克服困难并提升中餐厅菜单的翻译质量具有重要的积极影响。文章从跨文化交际视角出发,对品珍中餐厅菜单的翻译策略使用情况进行了调查和分析,以检验菜单的英译是否达到了提升经济效益、传播文化、树立品牌的目标。Since the 2lst century,the popularity of Chinese food has been increasing gradually in the world.The differences in na-ming styles of Chinese and Western menus bring difficulties to the translation of menus.The English translation of Chinese menus plays an important role in culture spreading.How to overcome the difficulties and improve the translation quality of menus has a great impact.This paper analyzes the use of translation strategies for the menu of Pinzhen Chinese restaurant from the perspective of cross-cultural communi-cation,in order to examine whether the English translation of the menu achieves the goals of improving economic efficiency,spreading cul-ture and establishing brand.
