程千帆对章学诚学术思想之发挥及其典范意义

摘　　要：程千帆自称平生服膺章实斋之说,不仅继承并发展了章学诚《校雠通义》,创作出具有新境界的《校雠广义》,将校雠目录学发展到新境界,而且在以选本形式而成的文学理论著作《文论十笺》中选入《文史通义》五篇文章。就论述的深度和重视度而言,程千帆无疑是阐发章学诚文论思想的第一功臣。程千帆对章学诚所谓“专家独断”之学不仅有深入理解,而且继承和发扬了章学诚的这种为学精神与学术方法,并将其成功运用于自己的学术研究。以此为起点,程千帆综合中西文论,将考据与批评结合,建立了一种文献学与文艺学完美融合的两点论文学研究方法。古典文学大家程千帆的学术历程作为典型案例,充分表明章学诚学术对现代中国的古典文学学术有深刻影响,在继承、发扬并创新前人学术精神方面,为学术界树立了典范。Cheng Qianfan(1913-2000)claimed to have admired the theories of Zhang Xuecheng(1738-1801)throughout his life.He continued and developed Zhang Xuecheng’s“Jiaochou Tongyi”(General Introduction to the Study of Bibliography)to create“Jiaochou Guangyi”pushing the study of bibliography to a new height.He also included five articles from“Wenshi Tongyi”(General Introduction to Literature and Historiography)written by Zhang Xuecheng in his literary the oreticalbook“Wenlun Shijian”(An Anthology of Literary Criticism).In terms of the depth and emphasis of his exposition,Cheng Qianfan is undoubtedly the most outstanding contributor to elucidate Zhang Xuecheng’s literary theory.Cheng Qianfan not only had a deep understanding of Zhang Xuecheng’s idea of“independent academic thinking”but also inherited and promoted this academic spirit and methodology,successfully applying it to his own academic research.Taking this as a starting point and combining Chinese and Western literary theories,textual research and criticism,Cheng Qianfan established a literary research method that perfectly integrated philology with the study of art and literature.The academic journey of Cheng Qianfan,a master of classical literature,serves as a typical case that fully demonstrates the profound influence of Zhang Xuecheng’s academic achievements on modern Chinese classical literature academics.Mr.Cheng has set an example for the academic community in inheriting,promoting,and innovating the academic spirit of predecessors.
