摘 要:大众与经典概念是经久不衰的文学研究主题,但学界对二者能动关系的认识尚有可完善之处。欧·亨利脍炙人口的名篇《麦琪的礼物》不仅以宗教传说和经典爱情故事充实其经典蕴含,更是体现为创作和传播过程中的“大众经典”实践。在文学跨媒介的理论趋势下,研究致力于以文学社会学的视角,在文学传播与接受、作家经历与出版策略的维度,探究《麦琪的礼物》作为大众经典的有机构成及其对看待经典与文学生产问题的启发。The concepts of the popular and the classic are enduring themes of literary research,but the academic community's understanding of the dynamic relationship between the two still has room for improvement.O.Henry's popular masterpiece The Gift of Magi not only enriches its classic content with religious legends and classic love stories,but also embodies the practice of"popular classics"in the process of creation and dissemination.Under the theoretical trend of cross-media,this research is committed to exploring the organic composition of The Gift of Magi as a popular classic from the perspective of literary sociology,from the dimensions of literary communication and reception,writer's experience and publishing strategy,and its impact on studies in issues of classics and literary production.
