摘　　要：绅士是英国国民性的一部分,以勇敢、明智、克制、得体等品质为主要特征。伴随着现代性的出现,英国绅士观念经历了巨大变化,从最初的身份地位的象征,逐渐转向道德品质与审美趣味的彰显。这些变化不仅与英国历史中政治和经济的变革密切相关,也伴随着教育理念和价值标准的演变。Gentlemanhood is an integral part of the British national character,characterized primarily by qualities such as bravery,wisdom,restraint and propriety.With the advent of modernity,the concept of the British gentleman has undergone significant changes,transitioning from being a symbol of social status to a manifestation of moral qualities and aesthetic tastes.These changes are closely related not only to the political and economic transformations in British history but also to the evolution of educational ideals and values.
