晚清西人对中国农业的关注--以《中国丛报》为中心

摘　　要：中国在晚清时期受到外国人的广泛关注。《中国丛报》上刊登了许多有关中国农业发展状况的报道,其中对晚清中国各地的农作物种植情况报道相对详细,关于具体农作物的种植方式和加工过程报道也比较清晰,报刊编者深入发掘了中国当时有较高经济效益的农作物,并在《中国丛报》中专题刊登。《中国丛报》上的农业报道,体现了19世纪中期西方人士对晚清中国农业的关注重点在于农业生产概况和能够产生经济效益的农作物,形成这种关注侧重点的原因既与其办报宗旨有关,也与报刊编辑者的身份、获取中国社会情况的难易度相关。In the late Qing Dynasty,China received widespread attention from foreigners.There have been many reports on the development of agriculture in China published in the The Chinese Repository.The reports on crop cultivation in various provinces and regions of China in the late Qing Dynasty are relatively detailed,with clear reports on specific crop cultivation methods and processing processes.Newspaper editors have thoroughly explored crops with high economic benefits in China at that time,and have published a special topic in the The Chinese Repository.Through studying the agricultural reports in The Chinese Repository,it was found that in the mid-19th century,Western people focused on the agricultural production profile and crops that could generate economic benefits in China in the late Qing Dynasty.The reasons for this focus were manifold,which were related to the purpose of running the newspaper,the identity of the editor of the newspaper,and the difficulty of obtaining information about China's social situation.
