摘 要:林译小说封面设计蕴含着民国时期设计师对中国传统文化的深刻理解与对西方装饰风格的直观表达,具有一定的时代特征。民国时期的政治环境、出版业的兴盛、装帧设计师群体的参与等现实因素,使林译小说封面设计发展成熟并且呈现多元化的风格和手法。采用图文互证法进行挖掘与整理,发现林译小说封面设计具有鲜明的特征:版式结构紧跟潮流,色彩搭配对比和谐,图形设计中西结合,封面字体抒情达意,整体体现了兼容并蓄、参照中西的时代特色。林译小说封面设计对当代中国书籍设计有一定的启示,为设计师提供了借鉴新思路,即要发掘时代审美、提升综合素养、创新工艺技术、不断满足读者的新需求。The cover design of novels translated by Lin Shu reflects the designer s deep understanding of Chinese traditional culture and an intuitive expression of Western decorative styles,displaying distinct features of the era.The political context of the Republic of China,the flourishing publishing industry,and the involvement of book design professionals were key factors that contributed to the mature development and diversification of styles and techniques in cover design of Lin Shu s translated novels.Through the method of textual and visual analysis,it is evident that these cover designs showcase unique characteristics:their layout structures follow contemporary trends,their color schemes are harmoniously contrasted,they feature a fusion of Eastern and Western graphic designs,and the cover fonts convey deep emotions and meanings,altogether embodying an era s hallmark of inclusivity and a blend of Chinese and Western elements.The cover designs of Lin Shu s translated novels offer valuable insights for contemporary Chinese book design,providing designers with fresh perspectives on exploring era-specific aesthetics,enhancing overall literacy,innovating craftsmanship,and continually meeting the evolving needs of readers.
