摘　　要：基于杨廷宝1920年代在宾大接受了扎实的布扎建筑教育训练,其一生中完成了大量优秀布扎建筑作品,但对于布扎建筑理论的核心方法—构图,杨却很少提及,同时学界少有此方面的研究。以布扎构图理论为基础提出建筑要素、构图要素和构图操作的三段图解分析方法,并以原国民政府外交部宾馆方案设计为研究对象演示其具体操作,为解读以杨廷宝为代表的老一辈中国建筑师的建筑提供一个新的视角。T.R.Yang received rigorous Beaux Arts design training at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1920s and designed plenty of excellent Beaux-Arts architectural works during his career,However,the core method of Beaux-Arts theory-composition-was rarely mentioned by Yang on the one hand,and there is lttle research in the academic community on the other.Based on the Beaux-Arts theory on composition,this paper proposes a tripartite method of formal analysis,which indudes building elements,elements of composition and the manipulation of composition.It uses the design of the Guesthouse of the Nationalist Govemment Ministry of Foreign Afairs as a case study to demonstrate the operation with an intention to provide a new perspective on the study of the architectural works of the ploneering generation Chinese architects represented by T.P.Yang.
