摘　　要：科学家发现,有海鸟居住的岛屿附近的珊瑚生长速度更快。一切全都是鸟粪的功劳,鸟粪中所含的营养成分使珊瑚得以苗壮成长,甚至从白化现象中复原。一支国际研究团队追踪了印度洋查戈斯群岛周围的珊瑚,其中半数岛屿栖息着许多以小银鱼和乌贼为食的海鸟。Scientists have found that coral grows faster on reefs near islands populated by seabirds.It's all in the poop,which has the right formula of nutrients to allow coral to thriveand bounce back from bleaching.An international research team tracked coral around islands in the Chagos Archipelago,in the Indian Ocean.Half the islands were well populated by seabirds that feed on small,silver fish and squid.
