摘 要:认知语言学认为隐喻承载的是人们的认知过程而不仅仅是一种语言现象,并由此发展了概念隐喻和概念整合两个被学界所熟知的理论以解释隐喻中的认知机制。借助这两个理论,本文详细研究了艾米莉·狄金森诗歌中概念隐喻的含义及其认知构建过程,建立了隐喻内容与含义间的映射关系解读了诗歌中深层次的认知运作机制。Cognitive linguistics believes that metaphor,being not a mere language phenomenon,carries people's cognitive process.Accordingly,two well-known theories of conceptual metaphor and conceptual integration were developed from it to explain the cognitive mechanism in metaphor.Based on these two theories,this study is focused on the true meaning of conceptual metaphor in Emily Dickinson's poetry and the cognitive construction process reflected in them,and has figured out the mapping relationship between the metaphouical content and true meaning to give a deeper insight into the cognitive operation mechanism in poetry.
