Based on the detailed analysis of historical images, this paper thinks about the relationship between China and the world as a whole. This paper believes that the idea"China of the World"put forward by Liang Qichao in his essay"A New Study of History"is a feature not only of the"modern history"of China, which is the latest stage, but of the entire history of China, including"ancient history"and"middle history"."China",both in terms of culture and space,is gradually built in its continuous communication with the"world".This paper distinguishes the scopes of"great China"and"small China".On one hand, this paper believes that traditional images of"Kunlun"in imagination helps us learn a new spatial and geographical pattern with great historical potential;on the other hand,it points out the natural terrain behind this pattern:the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau brings two-way monsoon to the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, forming the three continents of Asia,Europe and Africa and facilitating exchanges between civilizations around the Mediterranean Sea,the Black Sea,the Red Sea,the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, thus providing a natural and geographical foundation for civilizations around the world to need each other and for the study of global history and cross-cultural art history.
