摘　　要：海外子公司绩效是体现跨国企业海外投资成败的关键指标,如何提高跨国企业海外子公司绩效已成为学术界关注的重要问题。本文利用手工整理的中国跨国企业海外子公司数据,从数字经济视角考察了企业数字化转型对海外子公司绩效的影响及其作用机制,并进一步分析了母公司管理者能力的调节效应。研究发现:企业数字化转型显著提升了海外子公司绩效;母公司管理者能力增强了数字化转型对海外子公司绩效的赋能效应。机制分析表明,企业数字化转型通过提高海外子公司自主权和增强技术创新优势两方面提升海外子公司绩效。进一步研究发现,企业数字化转型对海外研发子公司以及投资到发达国家的海外子公司的赋能效应更明显。本文研究结论为全面刻画企业数字化转型对海外子公司绩效的赋能效应提供了新的理论框架和经验证据。The performance of overseas subsidiaries is a key indicator of the success or failure of multinational enterprises'(MNEs)overseas investment.How to improve the performance of MNEs'overseas subsidiaries is an important topic of academic interest.Utilizing hand-collected data from the overseas subsidiaries of Chinese MNEs,this paper explores the impact of corporate digital transformation on overseas subsidiaries'performance and its transmission mechanism from a digital economy perspective.It further examines the moderating effects of the managerial capacity of parent companies.This study finds that a firm's digital transformation significantly enhances its overseas subsidiaries'performance.We also find that the managerial capacity increases the empowerment effects of digital transformation on the overseas subsidiaries'performance.A mechanism analysis reveals that digital transformation improves the performance of overseas subsidiaries by increasing overseas subsidiaries'autonomy and enhancing the advantages of technological innovation.Additionally,we find that the performance-enhancing effect of corporate digital transformation is more pronounced for overseas R&D subsidiaries and overseas subsidiaries established in developed countries.This study provides a new theoretical framework and empirical evidence for a comprehensive understanding of the positive effects of corporate digital transformation on the performance of overseas subsidiaries.
