摘　　要：本文采用多维度分析和聚类分析方法,探究较大批量研究论文引言趋于使用的多种语言特征以及极力突显的交际功能,进而探讨其蕴含的知识构建方式。结果显示,引言特性集中体现于四组交际功能维度及其所含显著特征,即“评价立场”与“明晰指称”,“知识概念阐释”与“过程步骤描述”,“认识情态意义拓展”,以及“概述特定研究”。四组功能维度及其语言特征大体呈现两种组合方式,充分反映了引言趋于采用的知识构建方式。Research articles(RAs),the staple genre of information exchange and knowledge construction in different disciplines,have long been regarded as an integral component of EAP pedagogy and research.This study conducted a multi-dimensional analysis along with a cluster analysis to explore the preferred linguistic features and salient communicative functions in a large collection of RA Introductions,so as to probe into the knowledge construction practices.Results show that four functional dimensions,each manifested by groupings of specific linguistic features,are extracted and functionally labelled as"evaluative stance"vs."explicit reference","knowledge and concept explanation"vs."process and procedure description","extension of epistemic modality",and"overview of specific research".These functional dimensions along with the linguistic features tend to further merge into two distinct interactive modes,potentially indicating the knowledge-constructing paradigms practiced in RA Introductions.
