英文科技论文写作中语态用法刍议

摘　　要：在英文科技论文写作中,语态的使用对于语义的正确表达和行文的流畅性至关重要。在近代英文科技论文的发展历程中,主动与被动语态都曾占据过写作方式主流,目前,主、被动语态在科技论文中的使用方法仍存在一定争议。我国科技工作者受母语和写作习惯的影响,科技论文写作中被动语态的使用更为频繁,在一定程度上影响论文的可读性且容易造成语义的误解。本文首先回顾英文科技论文中语态的定义和使用方法的历史演变,然后通过实例介绍主动语态在语义表达上的用法和优势,之后介绍几种适宜使用被动语态的情形以及被动语态被不当使用的几类典型案例,最后总结英文科技论文中语态的使用策略与方法。In the writing of English scientific papers,appropriate use of voice plays a key role in the precise expression of semantics and in the fluency of writing.In the development of writing styles in English scientific papers,active and passive voices have occupied the mainstream in different periods.Currently,the use of active and passive voice is still debatable to a certain extent.Influenced by their native language and writing habits,Chinese researchers are usually in favor of using passive voice in the writing of English scientific essays,which may lower readability and cause semantic misunderstandings.This paper first reviews the evolution of the use of voice in English scientific papers,and next introduces the advantages of the active voice through examples,and then introduces typical situations when the passive voice is favorable and some examples of improper use are presented.Finally,we summarize the strategies and methods in the use of voice in scientific papers.This article may offer valuable reference for beginners in scientific paperwriting.
