摘　　要：《海狼》中所探讨的现代主权机器运作下个体的“自由与自处”,不仅是杰克·伦敦所密切关注的问题之一,亦是美国进步时代所亟待解决的民主困境。伦敦巧借一利维坦式戏仿寓言隐晦表达了其对美国政府在游民处置政策方面的愤懑:原本作为庇护所的“魔鬼号”却以俘获个体自由为代价,将其纳入权力装置的生命政治运作之中,船员的地位也因随时被划定成赤裸生命而岌岌可危。作为出路,杰克·伦敦创制了一个政治哲学存在论下生命形式不再受到分割的来临的共同体,以此言明自身非暴力抵抗的政治愿景。Manifested in The Sea Wolf,the individual freedom under the operation of the modern sovereign machine is not only one of the issues that Jack London pays close attention to,but also an urgent democratic dilemma in the Progressive Era of the United States.London’s“Leviathan”parable embodies his critical attitude towards the tramp policy.As a political community,The Ghost incorporates the crew into its biopolitical operation at the cost of individual freedom.Eventually,every single crew could be classified as“bare life”at any time.As a way out,by fictionalizing a coming community in which all forms of life are no longer divided,London expresses his non-violent political stance of resistance.
