摘　　要：《长路》是美国当代著名小说家科马克·麦卡锡的一部后启示录小说,曾斩获2007年美国普利策小说奖及鹅毛笔奖。麦卡锡通过描绘一个人类文明坍塌、死亡横虐的末日景象,为小说人物创造了一个巨大的死亡空间,而尸体、雨雪、灰尘等意象为死亡书写提供了更为丰富的文化象征符号。麦卡锡延续一贯的写作风格,在《长路》中描绘了暴力、猎杀等残忍的场景。死亡是个体的终极表达形式,与生命紧密相连,不可分割。通过对死亡的书写,麦卡锡向读者揭示了未知的凶险与人性的丑恶,同时也体现了其对于生命的关怀及人性的探索。The Long Road is a post-apocalyptic novel by Cormac McCarthy,a famous contemporary American novelist,which won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Quill Prize.By depicting an apocalyptic scene of the collapse of human civilization and the ravages of death,McCarthy creates a huge space for the characters to die,and the imagery of corpses,rain,snow,and dust provides richer cultural symbols for the writing of death.McCarthy continued his usual writing style,depicting cruel scenes such as violence and hunting in“The Long Road”.Death is the ultimate form of expression of the individual,intimately linked and inseparable from life.Through the writing of death,McCarthy reveals to readers the unknown danger and the ugliness of human nature,and also reflects his care for life and exploration ofh uman nature.
