基于跨文化传播三步骤看国产游戏翻译——以《纸嫁衣1》为例

摘  要:近年来,国产游戏异军突起,在游戏市场中的知名度显著增加,随着国产游戏出海步伐的加快,其英译本愈加成为中国传统文化传播的重要载体,游戏本地化翻译在很大程度上影响着海外玩家的游戏体验和跨文化传播效果。在此背景下,笔者基于拉尔夫·林顿提出的文化传播三步骤,以《纸嫁衣1》海外版本的英译文本为研究对象,在辩证分析其具体翻译策略的基础上,研究游戏翻译是如何影响到其跨文化传播效果,并为国产游戏如何做好出海翻译提出建议,以期助力国产游戏更好地走出去,发挥“讲好中国故事、传播中国声音”的纽带作用。In recent years,the popularity of Chinese games in the game market has increased significantly.With the acceleration of Chinese games“going global”,the English translation has become an important carrier for the communication of Chinese traditional culture.Localized translation of games has a great impact on the game experience of overseas players and the intercultural communication.In this context,based on the three steps of cultural communication proposed by Ralph Linton,the author takes the English translation of the Chinese Game Paper Bride I as the research object,analyzes the specific translation strategies dialectically,studies how game translation affects its intercultural communication effect,and puts forward suggestions on how to do a good job in the English translation of Chinese games,in order to help them to better“go global”,play a link role of telling China’s stories and make China’s voice heard.
