摘 要:作为中西之间的过渡地带,南洋是现代作家展开文学想象的重要空间。就欧洲作家而言,现代系过界南洋的帝国远征;对中国作家来说,南洋是汇融中西的复合周边。欧洲帝国殖民与中华天下遗绪交错其间,既指涉中国渴望融入世界新秩序的现代转型焦虑,又隐隐透露难以排解的历史帝国迷思。中国现代文学视野中的南洋世界,注定是一个中西文明冲突、古今帝国碰撞、内外华夷颠倒、欧亚族裔混杂的文学地缘学空间。As a transitional zone between China and the West,Nanyang("南洋",Southeast Asia)is an important space for modern writers to develop their literary imagination.For European writers,the modern era is an imperial expedition to Southeast Asia;For Chinese writers,Nanyang is a composite periphery where China meets the West.The emotional intertwining of European imperial colonization and the remnants of the Chinese all under Tianxia not only refers to China's anxiety of modern transformation in its desire to integrate into the new world order,but also implicitly reveals its historical imperial myths that are difficult to be resolved.The Nanyang in the perspective of modern Chinese literature is destined to be a literary geographic space where Chinese civilization and Western civilization conflict,where ancient and modern empires collide,where internal and external regions interact,and where Asian and European ethnic groups mingle.
