In the process of development, the Northern Wei Dynasty has formed a national identity with legitimacy identity, cultural identity and political identity as the core. The specific manifestations are as follows. The agreement of the old and new dynasty names in the Shengle period and the support, cooperation and attachment of the Han scholars to the Northern Wei Dynasty. The HuaXia genealogy of the Pingcheng period to find the roots of Yan Huang is listed, the at-tachment of the Han scholars, the interpretation of love and loyalty to the country. The self-proclaimed China and legitima-cy construction in the Luoyang period and the promotion of the Hua assimilation reform. The formation and evolution of the national identity of the Northern Wei dynasty reflected the inevitable trend of the Xianbei aristocracy and the Han scholars blending together and turning their hearts to ZhongHua,and reflected the power of the“Dayitong”thought. The national identity of the three periods of the Northern Wei Dynasty was not only a process of continuous deepening, but al-so a process of continuous development and consolidation of the community for the Chinese nation.
